The Center for Migration, Identity and Right Studies contributes to the public debates on issues of migration, identity and rights through bringing these issues on the public agenda and highlighting their importance.
Activities and research undertaken on these issues including the panel discussions and publications work as a tool to inform the public about the findings, current situation in northern part of Cyprus and comparative analysis of the current situation vis-a-vis the developments in the EU.
There are many issues that have been missing from the public agenda such as crime, migration, marginalised and vulnerable groups, minorities, and human rights. Opening a discussion on these issues will contribute to raising awareness and opening channels of communication among the civil society, local authorities, policy makers and the private sector.
